Gathering ECI Personnel to Share Ideas and Resources

Health and Human Services Commission Early Childhood Intervetion was awarded a grant to improve the retention of early intervention personnel across the career continuum. This includes Early Intervention Specialists, Service Coordinators Therapists, Program Directors, and Supervisors. HHSC ECI partnered with faculty at the University of Texas–El Paso on this application.

The retention of well-qualified early intervention personnel across the career continuum and at every level of experience is crucial to support the learning, development, and improved outcomes for children with developmental delays or disabilities and their families. These benefits rely on having a workforce that is equipped with the needed knowledge, skills, and abilities in early intervention.
